JROTC

JROTC Banner

JROTC (Junior Reserve Officers Training Corps) is a federal program sponsored by the United States Armed Forces in high schools across the United States. The purpose of the Junior ROTC is “to instill in students in secondary educational institutions the values of citizenship, service to the United States, and personal responsibility and a since of accomplishment.” JROTC also helps develop citizenship and patriotism, and helps with self reliance and responsiveness to all authority. JROTC will improve your ability to communicate well both orally and in writing, and will help you understand the importance of physical fitness. JROTC will also increase your respect for the U.S. Armed Forces, build your teamwork skills, and give you basic leadership skills. There are many different things in the JROTC program that helps the cadets get involved like Raiders, Color Guard, Drill Team, Quiz Bowl, Cadet Challenge, Field trips and Relay for Life.
